What is the Breakfast Club?
The Breakfast Club is a brand new program designed to take brunch culture to the next level. We’re pairing Green Flash Brews to the personal styles of San Diego’s finest breakfast experts. We’ll be kicking off our first Breakfast Club of the year with Chef Hanis, renowned chef and founder of Carnitas’ Snack Shack, and Dark Horse Coffee Roasters.
Tickets include 4 brunch courses each paired with a beer and a surprise giveaway for all attendees. Reception begins at 10:30 am and brunch at 11:00 am.

About Chef Hanis:
A San Diego native, Chef Hanis Cavin has built a long-standing culinary passion that began in a home economics class. He honed his skills first at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. After spending time at the American Seasons Restaurant in Nantucket, Hanis missed his hometown and came back to be the Executive Chef of Triangles, located in UTC. From there Hanis only grew in reputation and skill, working at Mixx, Pacifica Del Mar, Kensington Grill, Chive, Dakota Grill, and the Pacific Coast Grill. In 2009, Hanis was awarded Chef of the Year from the California Restaurant Association. Recently, he was inducted into the San Diego Home/Garden Chef’s Hall of Fame. In 2011, Chef Hanis and Sara Stroud opened the Carnitas’ Snack Shack in North Park, San Diego. The “SnackShack,” as it’s affectionately called, serves slow food-inspired, pork-centric American cuisine, snacks and locally sourced craft beers.
