Come join us as we team up with San Diego heavyweight Green Flash Brewing Co. This will be the first time we have featured a single brewery! Green Flash has always made fantastic beer and are one of the pioneers of the San Diego beer scene. We’ll feature some classics like Le Freak and West Coast IPA as well as some of their new offerings like Road Warrior Imperial Red Rye. You may have tried a lot of the beer Green flash produces, but not like this! Check the BeerNerdz Facebook page for updates on the featured beer from Green Flash.

We are excited to host the event at 57 Degrees which houses the Brew Project. With 31 taps dedicated to San Diego breweries, their local concept is a perfect match for what we try to accomplish, educate and expose guests to the rising San Diego craft beer scene. With a spacious and comfortable venue that has numerous big screen TVs, a pool table, bean bag toss, and plenty of couches and seating, it’ll be a great event to end the work week.

This unique blind tasting allows the seasoned beer connoisseur as well as the beer novice to test his or her skills in a fun, social setting. Guests will be given a scorecard with tasting notes, brewery and beer names, alcohol percentage, and IBU’s (bitterness scale) to help figure out what beer’s what. Compete against other craft beer enthusiasts to see who can name the most beers correctly. It’s a great opportunity to sample and learn about some of San Diego’s best breweries in a comfortable environment.

Event includes scorecard, water and crackers to help cleanse your palate, and of course a generous sampling of 8 Green Flash Beers. Prizes are awarded to the highest scoring contestants.
