This is the bike ride you’ve been waiting for…
We will leave Blind Lady Ale House at 8am on our bikes, and ride all the way up, up, up to Alpine Beer Company. There we will have one pint, check out the facility, and then ride back down, down, down. Approx 60 miles round trip. Last year’s route: https://connect.garmin.com/course/5133501 (this year starts and finishes at Panama 66 in Balboa Park)
At the end of the ride, back at P66, you will enjoy a guided tasting of Alpine’s beers alongside Alpine Brewmaster and Owner Pat McIlhenny and his wife, Val.
A buffet of P66 sandwiches and snacks, plus Commemorative schwag is included!
This ride is not about speed. It’s about community. (And beer.) So we will ride together, making sure not to leave brothers and sisters behind. It is a challenge uphill, as well as downhill. A decent bike is kind of necessary. No clunkers. No townies. No cruisers.
THE RULES:
Do not pass the ride leader!!!
Do not over do it at Alpine, we’ve gotta ride all the way back.
You must be able to ride 60 miles. Seriously.
We would like everyone to wear a helmet. Seriously.
You must bring at least one spare tube that fits your bike.
You must read the route before we ride.
You must drink plenty of water (the non-alcoholic type) the day/night before.
You must have at least one water bottle. We strongly suggest bringing 2 full bottles.
You must come with a good attitude.
Do not pass the ride leader!!!
